High germination rate, great taste too!

  • Pros: The Flavor
  • Cons: None!
  • Best uses: In a Salad

These broccoli sprouts have a high germination rate, which is a sign of freshness. 2 T of seeds more than fill a quart jar. Ready in 4-5 days. To produce a crop with a mild flavor, keep the sprouts in a dark place. To add a bit of sharper flavor, expose to direct sunlight for a few hours before harvest.

Poor germination rate for money but heals and tastes good.

  • By: LetFoodBeYourMedicine Verified Buyer from Hendersonville, NC US on February 5, 2016
  • Pros: The Taste
  • Cons: Poor germination rate for the money, but does heal H-Pylori which is why I bought it. Had no problems with the germination of all the other seeds I bought from Mumms. Highly recommend company over all.
  • Best uses: In a Salad
  • Describe Yourself: Healthy Lifestyle

Was disappointed with the germination of these seeds was only about 45-50%, especially for the price. I bought the broccoli to treat H-Pylori. After four days on the sprouts the diarrhea started going away and my ulcers are healing. I no longer have terrible pain. I understand it takes 2 or 3 months but am glad to start healing. These seeds are from Italy if that matters.

Cancer fighting

  • By: Iowa Verified Buyer from Kingsley, IA US on February 15, 2016
  • Pros: The Appearance
  • Cons: Have to not over rinse and be careful to not expose to too much sun.
  • Best uses: By Itself
  • Describe Yourself: Healthy Lifestyle

I have been buying your broccoli sprouts for at least 3 years or more. My son is a 2 time cancer survivor (lymphoma) and we have completely changed our diets and have more faith in the sprouts and herbs than traditional medicine. We have found the sprouts do better in the winter with less sunlight in my kitchen and cooler temps. Haven't perfected the technique of sprouting and some batches are better than others, but when we do they are great!

For people who love broccoli sprouts already, the larger size is a better value but this is a good way to try sprouts for the first time. Mumm's owners are very friendly and helpful too.

I haven't had a chance to try this year's crop; but, over the years, mumms broccolii seeds far out sprout any others I've tried. ps this is my first review on the mumms site. I really find the starred items with multiple choice selections off putting. I really don't want to be forced to choose between "flavor" "taste" and "appearance" on pros. I really can think for myself. and communicate. honest.

Good Germination Rates, Great Product & Service

  • By: kris Verified Buyer from Saint George, UT US on October 1, 2016

This is our second order (11 lb. each time). We've had good germation rates. In the warmer season, we've shortened the soak time (to 5 hours from our usual 8) which allows sprouting without fermentation and rot. Great flavor. Easy to sprout. Wonderful healthy outcomes. We've found the Broccoli sprouts have really boost the phase 2 liver detox through varified lab tests.
